Over thirty marchers proceeded from Ryrie Park, down Wallace Street, to the sound of drumming.
Artwork of all kinds was on display at BRAG, including a range of wearables, modeled later in the night.
Saturday marked the beginning of the QPRC Arts Trail, the second to incorporate Braidwood. Combined with the Hospital Auxiliary Fete, the Garage Sale Trail and the re-opening of Country Workbox, it was a busy day for the town.
Galleries got into the spirit of things, with special exhibitions for the town. The Left Hand featured a display of works from local artists, re-imagining famous artworks.
At the Silken Tent Gill Burke and Lois McKenzie displayed their work, including dyed silk scarves and freeform machine embroidery.
‘Bird Whisperers’ at Wheatfield Gallery also featured a display of Jen Boyes’ bird miniatures and other works from Canberra region artists.
The QPRC Arts Trail continues on Sunday, a full lists of exhibitions is available here.
