CONGRATULATIONS YEAR 6
By Mr Robert Lenon, assistant principal at Braidwood Central School.
On behalf of all of the staff at Braidwood Central School I would like to congratulate year 6 students on reaching the end of their primary schooling and moving on to high school at BCS.
Year 6 have played a huge role in changes that have taken place at BCS in the last few years.
They have been instrumental in leading positive changes in student behaviour in the playground and classroom, and have welcomed new approaches in literacy and numeracy teaching and learning enthusiasm.
They should be proud of the positive attitude they have taken to supporting not only each other, but younger students in their learning and playground attitude.
Unlike traditional primary schools, leaving year six at BCS is not a farewell, but a continuation on our learning journey.
Students at BCS enjoy the benefits of having specialist high school staff teach weekly classes in learning areas such as science, art, music and PE.
While they may be in different classrooms, students will see familiar faces in their new high school teachers, while also maintaining the connections they have built over seven years of primary schooling.
Well done year 6, and enjoy the end of 2018.

MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL CAPTAINS
By Dakota Bunn, Romany Gleeson, Ashley Krauth, and Zackary Wattam.
On behalf of all of our year 6 students we would like to thank all those people who have played an important role in our time at Braidwood Central School.
We would like to thank all of the teachers at Braidwood Central School in 2018.
As captains, we get to see the hard work that all the teachers put in to our learning each day and we can say a huge thank you.
We would also like to thank all the teachers that have taught us over the years at Braidwood Central School, and other schools over the past seven years. We would also like to give a special thanks to Mr Clarke who gave all of us our pen licences.
Most importantly we would like to thank our Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Grandmothers, Grandfathers, carers and all those people who look after us at home.
Without you, we would not have been able to make it from kindergarten through to the start of high school at Braidwood Central School.
We have enjoyed and are proud of our time as captains of our primary school and hope we have represented all students to the best of our ability.
We are looking forward to moving on to high school, and wish all students at Braidwood Central School a great end to 2018.
