The meeting celebrated the contributions of the board members and staff as well as the financial contributions of the bank back to Braidwood and Bungendore communities. Over the last 10 years this figure has now exceeded $1,000,000.
Three board members were re-elected to the board: Mary Mathais, Mick Wall and Gemma Hooper, while Alan Donnelly, a founding member and driving force behind the Bungendore Branch stepped down after 6 years.
Alan acknowledged the crucial support of the Braidwood Branch in starting up the Bungendore Branch and the support of his wife Jane Bloomfield starting up the project.
Senior Manager Craig Pettit said “I would like to wish Alan all the best and thank him for the time and effort he put into the establishment of the Bungendore branch and I am sure that although he no longer holds an official position his enthusiasm and support will continue.”
Members of several community groups that had received funding from the Community Bank during the year addressed the meeting as to what it meant to them, including the Bungendore RFS, Braidwood Men’s Shed, and Braidwood Central School.
