On Friday 7th December 15 year 9 students from the Braidwood Central School graduated from the RFS Secondary School Cadet programme.

The programme in its sixth year at BCS was conducted in a week block rather than the previous ½ day per week for 10 weeks. Covering basics in pumps, pumping, first aid, fire blankets (with live fire) different types of fire extinguishers, other emergency agencies in Braidwood, Radio communications & GPS etc.
The Cadets demonstrated the skills that they had learned before RFS Representatives from Sydney, Region & Zone, parents, grandparents, friends & school colleagues.
This was the sixth group to go through and complete their training. Graduates were given a hat, key ring and wrist band as well as a celebration BBQ to finish a great experience.
