Producers had a chance to purchase top quality Poll Dorset Rams at the 30th Annual Bobar Ram sale held at the on property sale “Barwood” on Thursday. All rams have been tested by Stockscan. Measurements were taken by an ultra sound of the eye muscle to determine meat yield.

Vendors Jamie Ramm, Rhyll Tozer & Mrs Barb Ramm offered a total of 104 rams, which included 4 Stud Poll Dorset rams and 100 Poll Dorset Rams. 103 rams sold to average $719.00, topping at $2100.00.
RD & B Reynolds of ‘Fullerton Station’ Crookwell purchased 3 of the stud rams at the average price of $1500.00 which included the top priced ram at $2100.00.
NJ Cummins of ‘Mona Vale’ Laggan purchased 4 Rams to average $1075.00 to a top of $1100.00.
Tony Pass from Ballalaba purchased 4 rams to average $950.00
Di Izzard of ‘Round Mountain’ Braidwood purchased 11 rams to average $781.00.
RE Purves T/A Carwoola Pastoral Company at Captains Flat purchased 11 rams to average $645.00
Buyers travelled from as far as Crookwell, Laggan, Stockinbingal, Taralga, Gunning, Breadalbane, Captains Flat and a good contingent supported the event from the local Braidwood area.
