After a week that included snow in Braidwood and an addition to the Bajracharya family (congratulations to Karuna and family), enthusiasm was high and the weather turned it on for a great day of soccer.

In the Sub-Juniors there was plenty of effort, some occasional crashes, and even the odd goal scored. There was some terrific effort shown by Mollie Dixon and Bronte Edwards, with a great run away goal from Cruz Campbell-Davys. The U7 Ducklings defeated the Foals 4-2, with some great runs by all players, strong defence from the Foals, but the Ducklings were just too strong. Hattie Cram, Joshua Clark, and Angus MacPhail kept the pressure on for the entire game, with Isabella Hindmarsh playing a great run and pass game throughout. Overall it was a great game by all players. Bonnie Park and Romany Gleeson showed great teamwork and communication in their game for the Piglets.
A nil-all draw was the result between the U9 Stock Horses and Kelpies, both teams very evenly matched. Best on ground for the Stock Horses were Louise Story, Jake Waters, and Ananta Bajracharya. The other game between the Rams and Bullocks was another close affair, this game generating plenty of excitement and a 1-0 win to the Rams. Again it was a very even match that flowed from end to end, with some great passing from Christina Culmone and Sarah Walker, and the only goal being from a trademark lob shot by Lachlan Hindmarsh. Terrific effort shown by all players, especially Darcy Gilbert, Lachlan Hindmarsh, Arna Dixon, Thomas Sephton, Finlay Edwards, Alice Tooth, and Harrison Wall.
In a weekend of close matches, the Under 11s didn’t fail to join in. The River Gums and Iron Bark played out a 5-4 game, with Iron Bark coming out victorious. Spectators were enthralled by the teamwork on display and the goal fest that ensued. Congratulations to both Will Shoemark and Sam Daniher for scoring three and four goals respectively, very well done by both of you, and very well supported by both of your teams. Best on ground to both Sam and Will, as well as Tyler Croxon, Lily Acheson, Lucy Baumann-Lionet, and Hayley Clarke. It was close again in the 1-0 win to Yellow Box over the Scribbly Gums, apologies to be passed on to Mr Flack for losing his sandwich with the errant shot at goal. Excellent games from Lachlan Usher, Monty Crosbie, Lily Morris, Isaac Quattromini, Thomas Barrington, and Abby Birkett. A special mention goes to the referee, Hannah Cargill, who has shown great maturity in stepping up to the role and giving great service to the club.
The Under 13s proved to be just as close, with the Excavators losing to the Harvesters, 2-1, and the Tractors getting up 4-2 over the Dozers. Best on ground for the Harvesters were Riley Hewitt, Declan Norris, and Lily Jones, while best for the Excavators were Harry Shoemark, Elizabeth Vella, and Blake Doherty. For the Tractors ,best a field were Jeremy Ramm with two goals, Mikaela Clarke, and Calypso Putra-Jaya.
