Parent effectiveness training at the Life Centre

Updated August 10 2016 - 9:13am, first published August 9 2016 - 5:42pm

Local families have just completed Braidwood’s first ever Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) course hosted at the Braidwood Life Centre. The committed group learned a variety of skills to improve communication, harmony and solve conflicts without using stereotypical models of permissive or autocratic parenting. Over 8 weeks of Sundays parents made positive changes within the family environment using their new listening and language skills. Facilitators Bronwyn Short and Purnima Gurung plan to run the course again in the near future and are continuing with private sessions locally. Please contact Purnima directly on 0478727302 or purnima_g@outlook.com for further info.
