The Summerfield Seniors Housing Development in Little River Road Braidwood has been acquired by Summerfield Constructions P/L one of the companies of a Queensland residential and land development group. On completion Summerfield will consist of 70 two and three bedroom freehold villa homes and apartments.
The Group’s Managing Director Mr Tim Wright has said how important this project is to the Group’s expansion into Regional NSW.

We are especially excited about the project’s freehold title development model which is focused on the growing downsizer/ retiree sector.
“The accessible housing designs, freehold title and very affordable price should appeal to a wide cross section of buyers.” Mr Wright said. “The location adjacent to the Braidwood Hospital with all its community and aged care services makes the site an incredible opportunity for the growing downsizer market.”
Award winning builder Peter O’Brien Constructions has been appointed the Head Contractor. Based in Orange they have a number of construction projects underway throughout Regional NSW and the A.C.T. It is their policy to utilise local trades and suppliers wherever possible.
Work has already commenced on site with the first thirteen homes due to complete over the next 5 to 8 months. Many of Summerfield’s common facilities have already been completed including: clubhouse, indoor heated pool as well as two display homes.
Habitat Realty has been appointed the project’s sales and marketing agent and will work with local agents. Together with co-joined agents from Western Sydney, Canberra and the South Coast.
“We are all very excited about getting the Summerfield project up and running” said leading local agent Denver Shoemark of Ray White Braidwood. “It is a very important development for the district and its aging demographic. The timing is perfect with property values and demand for new homes in Regional NSW surging.”
Summerfield is sited on 8 acres of gently sloping land adjacent to Braidwood Hospital and community health services. It has a northerly aspect allowing each home ample sunshine, overlooking rural vistas and heritage settings.
The project will be formally launched in September however interested parties could check out the website for more information. www.braidwoodretirement.com.au
