Wednesday’s edition of the Braidwood Times is the first produced using the NewsNow editorial system, which brings digital and print production into the same newsroom process for the first time.
At the forefront of newspaper production worldwide, the digital-first publishing technology allows journalists in the field to publish breaking news immediately at braidwoodtimes.com.au and prepare exclusive local content directly onto the pages of the next print edition.
The NewsNow technology, which has been rolled out at mastheads in Fairfax Media’s regional, rural and suburban publishing division, Australian Community Media, is designed to deliver journalism to our growing digital audiences and loyal print readers more effectively and efficiently.
The new technology also delivers a new look for the Braidwood Times.
Wednesday’s edition introduces a larger typeface size for body copy. The research we've done shows that reading larger fonts with ample spacing is much easier.
Headlines have a bold contemporary style, sections of the paper have been redesigned and some regular content has a new home in the paper.
These changes to our pages will not affect the Braidwood Times’ purpose or its identity.
The Braidwood Times follows a long tradition of newspapers in Braidwood which were first published in 1858. As the voice of the community we encourage residents to continue to contribute to the paper through stories, photos, events and letters. Contact braidwood@fairfaxmedia.com.au or call 4842 2508.
