Braidwood Preschool had a few exciting visits last week!
On Monday, Scott did the last of six weeks of AusKick sessions. During these sessions, the children have practised skills and games with Scott.

On Thursday, firefighters Tim and Nicky came to the Preschool. They talked to the children about fire safety. Fire safety can mean anything from how to evacuate safely, how to find a meeting point, when to dial 000, and so forth.
The presentation also included showing the children pictures as well as their fire fighting clothes and equipment. Memory skills included how to ‘Stop, Drop and Roll, and how to ‘Get Down Low and Go’. Then the children got to see the fire engine up close, and to hold the hose, and spray the water!
Another visit was for a dog safety talk. A dog safety educator came to the Preschool and talked to the children about dogs, generally, and how to approach or behave around a dog as an essential life skill.
