The musical partnership between Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas may not seem an obvious one. But Fraser, long regarded as Scotland's premier fiddle ambassador, and Haas, a talented young California cellist, will showcase their dazzling duo in Araluen this weekend.
Through teamwork, driving rhythms, and a shared passion for improvising, they have helped reconstruct and revive the Scottish tradition of playing dance music on violin and cello. They have toured internationally for more than 16 years, wowing audiences with their unique sound and have released four critically acclaimed and award-winning albums along the way.
Presented by Araluen Gold Music, Fraser and Haas will play the Araluen Federal Hall on Sunday, September 18. Doors open 5pm with music from 6pm. Delicious food from Araluen Gold Organics, BYO drinks.
