An 1850s flour mill, a thriving slow food farm, properties steeped in history and newer gardens just coming into their own: this year's Open Gardens has something to interest everyone.
The event, a fundraiser for Braidwood's not-for-profit preschool, will see seven gardens and a historic property throw open their gates.
The properties (Millpond Farm, Durham Hall, Linden, Wynlen House, Green Farm, Tudor Valley and Deua Tin Huts) will be open October 15-16, 10am-4pm. The property ‘Bedervale’ will only open on the Sunday.
Activities will vary between gardens, but include an art exhibition, vintage car display, Landcare talks, guided tours and refreshments.
Entry is $5 per garden (under-18 free), except Millpond farm (gold coin donation, extra for garden entry). See braidwoodgardens.com.au
