The Braidwood Swim Club has formed a committee and been saved from folding after the annual general meeting on Thursday night.
A committee led by president Bec Bradley will ensure the club continues its strong history of helping keep Braidwood children safe in the water, beginning with the first swim for the new season on Monday, October 31.
School-aged children who can (or almost) swim one lap unassisted will start at 4.30pm, with three-lap swimmers starting at 5pm.
The first two weeks will be obligation-free "come-and try" nights where children can turn up and have a go.
The Swimming Club is a fun way to improve swimming skills while having fun and keeping fit. There's also a sausage sizzle every Monday and awards at the end of the season.
Children aged 7 and under are free, 8 and over $65. An information pack with details on how to register online with Swimming NSW will be handed out at the pool. For safety reasons, a parent or guardian is required to be at the pool with their child/children during club events.
Entry to the pool is not covered by club membership - season passes are available at the council and represent great value for regular pool users.
We look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces as well as welcoming some new members to our club.
