Thirteen local men headed to the annual Wood Show at the Exhibition Park in Canberra early this month.
We saw some great displays demonstrating new wood working machinery and accessories.
We certainly gained a fair amount of knowledge on what’s available these days, which should generate hours of discussion at the shed in future weeks.
We spent around $500 on general supplies and attachments for our current machinery.
The lads from the local Central School have been busy working on various projects with an impressive coat and hat hanger underway.
We wish them luck with this job as it promises to be an eye catcher.
The men’s shed had a visit from John Barilaro this Monday who had a good look at our facilities, including an impressive array of replica rifles for next year’s re-enactment of the Clarke Gang capture.
The shed has received a grant of $25,000 as part of the Stronger Communities Fund to expand our storage area.
We open every Friday from 9:30am at Cowper Street in Braidwood. Enquiries to Kevin on 0450961039.
New members are always welcome.
