UPDATE: The bushfire is now being controlled. The area it covers totals 492 hectares.
An out of control bushfire is burning in the area surrounding Lower Boro Road, to the north east of Braidwood. The fire is approximately 219 hectares in size. Rural Fire Service are attending.
The warning level for the fire is currently ‘advice’, meaning there is no immediate danger but residents should stay up to date in case the situation changes.
The fire is approximately 28 kilometres from Braidwood.
