David Jones retired from his role as chaplain at the Royal Military College Duntroon this week after nine years’ service.
David thinks of this move not in terms of being ‘retired’, but ‘refired’, as he has taken up the position as minister at Braidwood Uniting Church.
David, who is ordained into the Baptist church, and his wife, Susanne, live at Krawarree. David was the author of the 2007 Banksia Report, which led to the establishment of the Braidwood Men’s Shed, the Braidwood Seniors Association and the Red Cross initiative.
David is excited to being back in parish ministry and is looking forward to serving the Uniting Church congregation and the community in Braidwood.
