A tiny town hangs from the walls at Altenburg & Co. Local artist Marianne Courtenay has painstakingly reproduced Braidwood’s iconic buildings at the size of a letterbox. Ms Courtenay describes the exhibition as “my interpretation of some of the familiar features of our main street,” rather than scale models.
The works are built around a recycled timber core, with verandas and facades constructed from balsa wood. The surfaces have been drawn with colour pencil.
This weekend is the final weekend to view the exhibition, which is open from 10am-4pm.
