If you always have an eye out for the overflowing boughs of a public apple tree, you may have found a friend in QPRC.
A collaborative map project, ‘Overlooked Bounty’, has just been released by council.
The project aims to provide foragers with the tools they need to track down and harvest free food. It’s Queanbeyan heavy right now, but council is keen to see additions to the map from the broader area, including Braidwood, Majors Creek and Araluen.
“At the moment, the map has a few locations in Queanbeyan and we’d love for the whole local government area to be included,” QPRC’s Manager of Community Choice, Jacqui Richards said.
