Councillors Trevor Hicks and Mark Schweikert moved the following, which passed unanimously.
- Concept options be developed for road bypasses of Bungendore and Braidwood
- Those concept options be included as a key element of the structure plans for towns as they are developed
- Council allocate appropriate funding towards development of those options
- Council consider funding for the Braidwood structure plan review in the delivery program
The bypass has long been mooted in Braidwood, with mixed feelings among the community.
Some fear reduced traffic could stymie tourism, while others see it as a matter of quality over quantity.

A full skate park in Braidwood is also on the table, after a motion was passed that council consult with the community about a location other than Ryrie Park.
The motion left the way open for skate elements in Ryrie Park, included in the concept plan for the Braidwood CBD.
The motion followed a controversial motion passed in the previous council meeting, that council not include skate facilities in the Braidwood Town Centre. QPRC later issued a statement saying that skate elements could still make it into an intergenerational play space.
