Weekend weather on the Southern Tablelands

A hot and humid end to the week on the Southern Tablelands has preceded a predicted drop in temperature and rainfall.

With warm winds, Goulburn experienced a high of 34 degrees on Friday and showers predicted for the afternoon.

On Saturday in Goulburn , the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a maximum temperature of 34 degrees and thunderstorms in the morning and early afternoon. 

In Yass, Saturday will bring a cooler change with the 38 degree maximum temperatures of Friday falling to 29 degrees.

A shower or two is predicted in the afternoon with winds blowing at speeds of 15 to 25km/h.

With a slim chance of rain on Sunday, the maximum temperature in Yass is expected to hit 25 degrees. 

In Braidwood, Saturday is expected to reach a top of 29 degrees with a high chance of showers in the morning and afternoon.

Sunday should see a cool change with temperatures dropping to a maximum of 20 degrees and a low of 9 degree with a 50 per cent chance of rain.

With a maximum temperature of 27 degrees, winds are expected to blow at speeds from 24 to 40 km/h during the morning.

On Sunday, Crookwell can expect a cool change with a maximum temperature of 21 degrees.
