Community consultation has begun for Braidwood’s skate park, QPRC said, in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.
The survey gives residents the option to vote for one site, or to pick an ‘other’ option. Those taking the survey can also provide comments.

Council members voted to investigate potential locations for a skate park in Braidwood in a meeting in December of 2017.
The motion specifically precluded Ryrie Park as a location for a full skate skate park. The intergenerational play space proposed for the site may however include skate elements.
Council staff used two criteria to identify possible sites. First, that the land was owned by council. Second, that the land was a short, walk, skate or ride to the Braidwood CBD.
The project will still take some time if council does support one of the potential sites. Concept designs, development applications and funding allocation will still be required to build a skate park.
Community consultation will be included in each stage of this process, a council spokesperson said.
Have your say on QPRC’s Your Voice website. Council will be seeking feedback from Wednesday January 17 to Wednesday February 14.
Council staff will also be in Braidwood to speak to residents on Tuesday January 30, from 11am-1pm at 144 Wallace Street and from 5-7pm at the Old Library in Park Lane, Braidwood.
