From 7.30am till 9am people attending the Goulburn celebrations were invited to a free bacon and egg sandwich breakfast cooked by members of the Rotary Club of Goulburn. While this was underway many of the stalls, information booths and displays were just being set up.

Around on the south eastern side of the park outside the oval and cycle track was a large car, truck, bike and vintage farm machinery display. Members of various motoring enthusiast groups along with vintage machinery restorers proudly showed of their projects in finished or work in progress form.

 Near the entry gate was Kerry and Alan Joyce’s Dream Weaver hot air balloon. This colourful “Head” balloon can often be seen drifting over Goulburn on still autumn winter or spring mornings. 

 On the northern side of the park was an array of craft stalls and information tents including various local organisations providing useful information or promoting organisations and activities local district residents might like to join. Near the tennis courts and the Max Hadlow grandstand on the western side of the Oval were the food and drink stalls offering a variety of snacks or lunch time treats.

 The stage for the official ceremony and presentations was set up facing the grandstand just out from the cycle track on the outfield. it was here the entertainment took place while four wheel pedal vehicles were being driven around the cycle track. mostly restricted to the eastern side.

 Kids or families were invited to participate in a coloured rock hunt with the object of finding the marked stones and recording how many could be located. The hunt was something akin to geocaching without the use of mobile phones or ipads and the finders had to leave the coloured objects for other participants to find.

 For the kids there was also a the popular jumping castle and other  activities as well as plenty to spend their pocket money on.
