What’s happening at the Men’s Shed?

Your local Men’s Shed held its AGM last Friday.

Last year’s board were congratulated for guiding us through another successful year. Highlights included the gardening table constructed for the local hospital as well as our container project which is nearing completion.

This project, which gives us much needed extra space to accommodate our growing numbers, was only made possible with the QPRC amalgamation grant we received early in 2017.

We are having an Open Day in recognition of Seniors Week early in April.

There’ll be a free BBQ and cuppa as well as displays of past and present projects. Date and time will be advertised soon.

We’re trialling two days a week at the shed for the next month or two. As usual we’ll be there Fridays and now on Tuesdays as well. Meeting time will be 9:30 for both days.

We have an Easter project happening which involves each of the schools and their artistic talents. Stay tuned for more information as Easter approaches.

Congratulations to the volunteer board members for 2018.
