In motorsport this weekend there is a mixed program of motor racing at Wakefield Park with the Motor Racing Australia / Festival of Sporting Cars (FOSC) meeting on Saturday and Sunday. Categories include SuperTT (Enduro), Pulsars, Clubmans, Alfa/Veloce, MRA - Regularity, Series X3 NSW (Excels), Historic Touring Cars, MX5 Cup, FoSC - Regularity, British Sports Car Series, and Historic & Invited Touring Cars.

On Saturday night, Goulburn Speedway comes to life with Legend Cars, GPs, Compact Speed Cars, Juniors and Micro Sprints. Gates open at 4pm, racing is from 6pm. The canteen will be operating.
Goulburn’s Hockey season is underway with the first games of the regular season starting this week at the hockey complex off Finlay Road. The under 15s play on Friday night and it appears there may be also under 18s playing too. There is a full day of hockey games on Saturday starting with under 11s at 8am and finishing with Taralga against North White’s women’s third grade starting at 5.40pm. On Sunday the juniors play in the morning, while second grade Fireflys against Drifters men start at 1.10pm.
Netball is also underway with its 2018 season, both indoor and outdoor, and there are games on Saturday at the Carr Confoy courts starting from 11am in round two of their competitions.
Goulburn United under 13s rep football side (soccer) play Woden – Weston on Saturday at 10am at the Cookbundoon Fields.
Meet the GWC Bulldogs players and coaches at the season launch at the Workers Club Saturday night from 7pm.
For those who enjoy tennis starting Friday, Tennis NSW, seniors tournament is on at both the Bishop Street, Goulburn Tennis Club and the Bruce Street, Goulburn Railway Tennis Club over the weekend. The tournament brings scores on visitors to the city and provides high standard opponents for the local clubs’ participants.
Goulburn Dirty Reds and Taralga Tigers are having a pre-season hit out at Poidevin Oval on Saturday afternoon starting at 3pm. Unfortunately the Wollongong side pulled out this week so instead of a three way contest it will be a local derby. This should be an interesting and entertaining game for rugby fans.
