Calisthenics also referred to as Cali Dance combines free exercises, gymnastic moves, apparatus skills using rods and clubs, marching,  a variety of dance forms, including but not limited to character, lyrical and song and dance/actions. All items are choreographed with music to create visually entertaining routines.  

Danielle's love for calisthenics started at age 5 when she began competitive Calisthenics in Canberra and continued for 20 years as a participant.

Today Danielle has over 19 years experienced as a Level 1 Accredited Calisthenics Coach and has taught Classes, Solos and Duo performances to the children of Canberra, as well as co-founding a Calisthenics club for 10 of these years. 

Danielle's passion is to provide the opportunity in Braidwood to enjoy this amazing dance sport which encourages children to be fit, happy and active while incorporating, flexibility, strength, co-ordination, self-discipline, confidence, self-esteem, physical development and an appreciation for a team spirit. 

Recently through the Braidwood Youth Performing Arts Association School Holiday Program some children enjoyed a taste of Calisthenics through a Stage Presentation workshop which included several disciplines of Calisthenics.

BYPAA will be offering more school holiday programmes these Easter holidays, with Calisthenics on the time table.

Braidwood Dance Studio is very pleased to announce that classes will start in Term 2 as part of their growing timetable, with the aim to inspire students to develop an appreciation for musical theatre and the performing arts in a fun group environment.
