Now, money received from the Stronger Communities Fund has allowed the group to revamp their space.
The renovations will soon be put to their best use, with a Members Exhibition opening on April 13.

Members of the Arts Group are invited to show up to three of their own works at each exhibition.
Of the 100 members, President Maggie Hickey estimates that approximately half would participate in each exhibition.
The centre is also used by a wide range of community groups and class providers.
Approximately $46,500 in funding allowed the group to build a proper disability ramp at the side and re-do the dilapidated front ramp and door.
A separate entrance will also allow the group to expand activities run in the centre, allowing the front and back rooms to be used simultaneously by different groups.
The funds also served to remove the old asbestos tiles from the back room.
Along the way BRAG has contributed money, time and work for the renovations.
The new front was painted with volunteer hours, while the group paid for new tiles.
Ultimately, its the community who is to thank for the group’s continued success, says Ms Hickey.
“We’ve been very grateful for the support of the general community, nothing could happen without that, nothing could happen unless they supported us by coming to our exhibitions and buying work,” she said.
“We’re there for the community, and they’re there for us.”
