Eight riders including junior Dylan Weir and novice Jack Ramon attempted the event but found the animal they had drawn for the ride more than a match. The bulls success was not just in the open section, where Curly, Crusty Critter, Rock, Yaca Bom, Golden Gloves, Air Raid, Red Bull and Billy all threw their mounts Matthew Esposito, Michael Beard, Zac Maher, Ashley Hanby, Joshua Birks, Stuart Orford, Jack Ramon and Dylan Weir inside the eight seconds. None of the novice riders were successful against the unnamed stock squad either.
