Queanbeyan club champion with local roots

The Queanbeyan and District Cricket Club held their end of season awards at a function on saturday night. Michael Stachow was announced as the Club Champion for the 2017/18 season.

A former ACT representative squad member, Stachow is on the comeback trail after a long lay off. He amassed 771 runs through the grades  which amounted to the highest number of runs scored by an individual player for the season at the Club and took 35 wickets.

He is a son of Maureen and Rudolph Stachow of Majors Creek. Stachow lives in Canberra.
