The musician is back in Australia, for an extensive tour. Based around Snap Shot recording, it will see Champagne perform new music, items from his album ‘Fault Lines’ and past favourites at over 50 towns around the country.
In June, he will come to Braidwood.
A hectic tour schedule since he last performed in the town has certainly had its effect.
“It’s just more comfortable to be honest,” he said. “I think probably other people that see me once a year will notice the differences more than I do.”
Now based in America, Champagne is originally a South Coast boy from Brogo.
And music is in his blood. One of Champagne’s earliest memories is listening to his father play rock music in his backyard.
Age 12, he began writing songs, before training classically into his teens. He left the classical background to find his his own sound.
At 18, he hit the road, and has been performing ever since.

And it’s the journey which inspires him.
Known for his acoustic skill, Champagne writes music to connect on an emotional level with his audience. It’s the people he meets in this journey which inspire him.
