It was a chilly morning for round 2 of soccer last Saturday. Numbers were a little down from the previous week, perhaps due to the bleak weather.

The sub juniors took to the field for ball skills and a game and the coach was thoroughly impressed with the improvement shown in these little ones even after just one week!
Special mention to Dale Clarke and Clyde O'Brien who were very focused.
A great first week for Teddy V and Roza Boufi as well.
In the 5-7 year olds the Galahs took on the Kookaburras (no results or match report unfortunately).
The Cockatoos versed the Magpies, with Magpies winning 3-1. The Cockatoos’ goal scorer was Oscar Moller.
Stella & Mack V, and Aidan Yewdallall scored a goal each for the Magpies. Special mention to Bridie, River and Zak for their excellent defense skills.
In the 8-10 age group, The Comets took on The Stars, coming to a draw at 3 all, and it was a great game played by all.
Goal scorers for the Comets were Jimmy, Jake & Maddie (No goal scorers recorded for The Stars).
The Rockets played The Jets, with the Rockets winning 7-1. All players worked well in their teams.
Orlando Laffan showed his serious talent, scoring 4 goals. Zac Sheridan also played fantastically, kicking 3 goals.
Jack D narrowly missed a coupld of goals, but showed huge improvement this week as did Henry and Rhys. Nejamin Allen was the goal scorer for The Jets.
In the over 11's, Rebels took home a narrow win of 4-3, over the Young Guns. Goal scorers were Leroy (Rebels) and Logan and Nelson (Young Guns). Fantastic effort by all players with a special mention to nick Allen, Matilda Jeffrey and Hugh Lyons who all stepped it up a notch this week.
We also had our Palerang Under 13's team play at home this week against Canberra Grammar, winning 1-nil.
It was a hard fought game, with Brodie Parsons being our only goal scorer.
Fantastic defense in goals from Tess Gurling and Leroy ensured that Canberra Grammar were unable to get any points on the board.
A particularly great game for Kayla Honey, and Will Mortimer - both players going from strength to strength every week.
The coaches and managers are so impressed with how these players have come together and worked as a team, remaining undefeated so far.
Palerang take on Radford College in another home game this Saturday kicking off at 12.30, and would love to see some home ground supporters there - all welcome!
