Each lady received a Mother’s Day gift and the Goulburn U3A choir, Partners in Song, entertained.
Legatees’ wives prepared the afternoon tea and were on hand to help with serving.
The charitable organisation, which looks after the widows of war veterans and their families in Goulburn, Crookwell, Taralga and Braidwood, holds the event annually.
It also hosts a winter luncheon and Christmas gathering, as well as bus trips and other social events throughout the year.
Legacy is reliant on community donations but also undertakes its one fundraising, such as Badge Week each September and Bunnings barbecues.
Proceeds from the recent ANZAC Day Two-Up games were also donated to Goulburn Legacy.
Funds are used to support widows’ needs and to maintain 20 units at Legacy Lodge in Lagoon Street, Goulburn.
