Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious fire at a property near Braidwood.

About 4pm Thursday, emergency services were called to a property on Nerriga Road at Durran Durra after reports of a fire.
Police and Rural Fire Service personnel attended and found a large shed, along with a caravan and a vehicle, well alight.
The fire was extinguished but not before it caused significant damage.
During a canvass of the property, it was discovered that a number of shipping containers, caravans and cars had been broken into.
A firearm, ammunition and other items were stolen from the property.
Officers from Monaro Police District established a crime scene which was forensically examined throughout the day.
About 12.30pm Friday, officers located a safe at Molongolo Gorge via Sutton, believed to have been stolen from the property.
An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
