Award winners
Some of our amazing projects and events were recognised at the LG Professionals Australia awards night in Sydney recently. The Apex Park redevelopment won the Asset Management and Infrastructure category. This project was done in collaboration with the Lions Club of Queanbeyan. We were also highly commended for the Queanbeyan Music by the River event and the Summer Activation events. The Go Local, Grow Local initiative was also a finalist in the Local Economic Contribution category. Congratulations to all involved.

Items on the agenda include the determination of a number of development applications, a report on the development of the Queanbeyan Police Station, the new Googong Road and Old Cooma Road intersection, and an update on Waste Management. Members of the community are welcome to attend the meeting, which begins at 5.30pm.
Extraordinary meeting
Submissions on the Delivery Program, Operational Plan, Revenue Policy and Fees and Charges have now closed. All the submissions will now be considered by councillors and staff. The plans will then be discussed and finalised at an extraordinary meeting of Council to be held at the Queanbeyan Council Chambers on June 28.
