1st Braidwood Scouts are holding their inaugural Mega Car Boot Sale on Saturday October 20 and are encouraging locals to come along to pick up a few of the bargains on offer. The sale will be held in the grounds of the Scout Hall in Coghill Street, from 9am to 2pm. This is part of the Garage Sale Trail event, which can be found at garagesaletrail.com.au

Chris Campbell from 1st Braidwood Scouts said there will be bargains galore on the day-books, clothes, toys, bric-a-brac, crockery, tools, plants and heaps more.
Local people can also participate by attending with their own car boot full of things to sell. Chris Campbell warned that spots are filling fast but if people are interested in having a car spot please contact Louise on llcole76@gmail.com. Cost is $20 per car boot.
Bacon and egg rolls will be available all day as well as a cake stall to suport Scouts and Venturers are going to Australian Jamboree and the World Jamboree in 2019.
On the day Braidwood Scouts would appreciate any empty cans or bottles to assist with our recycling fundraising efforts. They will also have Drought Relief Badges for sale for $5, with $3 directly going to the Buy a Bale Relief fund.
Cubs (8-11 years) meet from 6.15 to 7.45pm, Scouts (11-14 years) from 6pm to 8pm and the 1st Braidwood unit is proud to announce that the new Venturer Unit will be starting this month (14-17 years), from 6pm to 8pm. It is hoped to have Joeys starting up in 2019, depending on leader availability.
