The recent warm weather and much needed rain has inspired the gardeners, and the plant stall made more than ever. The collectibles stall was huge and attracting a lot of attention as people browsed all things unique, quirky, vintage and utilitarian. The raffles and cakes made more than ever and the delicious devonshire teas were ever-popular, as were the sausage sandwiches. Fortunately the barbecue cooks and their helpers managed to pack up the barbecue outside before the afternoon downpour.
Representatives from Greater Southern Area Health were on hand to answer questions about the plans and progress of the new MPS.
Auxiliary member and one of the fete organisers, Celia Roach, extended thanks on behalf of the Auxiliary to Mary Mathias and Jenny Tozer for their scone-making brilliance; to Natalie Densley and Margaret Shea for their tireless work in the kitchen; and to all the volunteers and generous donors.
