The pool will be officially opened for the first time this weekend and the club encourages local swimming enthusiasts to come along and enjoy a free barbecue from noon provided by the club.
There will also be a presentation ceremony held during the day which will reward members of the club for last season's achievements.
The focus of the weekly races is for club participants to push themselves and aim to improve their own times each week.
This focus is not only crucial for the children to develop their swimming but also a matter of safety as drowning remains a top-ten cause of childhood death worldwide.
With this in mind, the Swimming Club is making a push to get as many children involved as possible this season.
The first two weeks will be obligation-free 'come-and-try' nights where children can turn up and have a go at swimming.
This, the club says, is to help children realise that swimming is "a fun way to improve swimming skills while having fun and keeping fit".
Children under the age of eight are welcome to join the club for free and information packs on how to sign up online with Swimming NSW will be available at the pool.
The pool will open from 11am on Saturday November 3 and the awards presentation for last year's swimmers will begin at 11.30am.
