- 6 Dempseys Road, Krawarree
- $1.46 million

“A great opportunity is presented here for a quiet rural lifestyle in an unspoiled natural environment with the bonus of an income stream” says agent Denver Shoemark. “Deua Tin Huts is like a small village, and would also make a wonderful base for an extended family or common interest group.”
It is currently run as low-key retreat accommodation with close access to walks in the Deua National park only a 10 minute stroll away. Built in 2011-12, the property has been beautifully developed and maintained. The reason for this sale is the current owners are now retiring.

Deua Tin Huts is a comfortable 30 minute drive from Braidwood on tar sealed roads. “There is great potential for expansion or diversification as the area grows in popularity,” Mr Shoemark adds.
As a business, potential ways to increase the number of revenue streams include adding meals (accommodation is currently self-contained), attracting more inbound tourists like bus tours and interest groups (it’s only a 90 minute drive from Canberra), opening a cafe or shop (there’s currently no food available between Braidwood and Cooma), listing with Airbnb or other accommodation sites, growing berries, garlic or apples (which all do well here), or conducting National Park tours.
“With the new Telstra tower recently installed, a push on for the completion of sealing the remainder of the Braidwood to Cooma road, more subdivided properties and a steady growth of visitors to the National Parks here, and the QPRC tourism plan rolling out, the future growth in the area is assured,” Mr Shoemark said.
