While the dress theme for the day was ‘patchwork’, in honour of Braidwood’s Quilt Festival this weekend, most of the fancy dress was covered by coats, parkas and beanies as the ladies battled the elements in a Canadian Foursome competition.
The winners on the day, with a score of 74.25, were Fran Miller and Karen Ebsworth, both from Queanbeyan Golf Club.
The annual CSGA Gala Day is hosted by a different club every year, with the aim of raising funds for a local charity. This year, the Braidwood Life Centre was the beneficiary of over $1000 raised through the donation of green fees and the proceeds of the raffle.
The Braidwood course was in top condition thanks to the efforts of the volunteers who maintain the course with nothing but complimentary comments from the players.
