The ActewAGL 2019 Royal Canberra Show is being held on the weekend, February 22 to February 24 at the Exhibition Park in Canberra.
Canberra Show chief executive, Athol Chalmers, also announced that the fees for parking have been cut by 50 per cent to $5 for the 2019 show.
Mr Chalmers, explained that it is part of a commitment to engage with the community.
The CWA would use the donation to help support rural families, especially children's education.
Southern Tablelands group president Leanne Lourigan and group secretary Karen Pavey offered their thanks and gratitude.
The funds will extend the assistance that the CWA already provides to studies in the Southern Tablelands.
In a media release, Mr Chalmers also stated that he hoped that by dropping the parking fees it would make the show more accessible and affordable.
