Ball Tamperers defeated Can’t Touch This 10-6 in the A Grade final, and Multiple Scoregasms defeated Majors Creek Nuggets 9-7 in the B Grade final. Both games were played in the right spirit and well refereed.
Competition awards went to Riley Turner (Men's Best and Fairest), Mel Knight (Women's Best and Fairest), Harley Williams (Men's Best and Fairest Runner-Up), Hayley Quill (Women's Best and Fairest Runner-Up), Tony Cairns ‘The Wily Award’ and Harry Roberts ‘The Tenauty Award’.
The inaugural Braidwood Touch Competition was a resounding success with a total of 176 players having registered, with ages ranging from 13 to 73. The mixed competition brought the community together for a really pleasant and vibrant atmosphere. The competition was made possible by installation of terrific ground lighting by QPRC late last year.
A huge thank you goes out to Madi Guan for coordinating the competition and the rest of the committee for making the competition possible. A big thank you to our competition sponsors, The Braidwood Servicemans Club, APEX, Bendigo Bank and the Braidwood Redbacks.
The committee plans to commence the 2019/20 competition in late September. Anyone interested in joining the committee or putting a team in our next competition please contact the club on our Braidwood Touch Football Club Facebook site.
