After positive feedback we decided to have another go. The local schools have been flat out decorating eggs. Thanks again to the schools who manage to squeeze us into their curriculum early in the year. Our membership continues to grow and stands at a healthy 26 men. Great to see Hector and Billy from the Narbethong attending. They appeared to enjoy themselves and said they'd be back next week. Our recently acquired container is really taking shape. This new space has been a welcome addition and is mainly due to the hard work of Noel Shepherd. As our next project we're about to build some bench seats for the Braidwood Landcare Group. These are to be positioned near the new exercise equipment adjoining the path along Bombay Road. Mens sheds total 1003 in number throughout Australia and they received two bits of good news from government this week.
Firstly, all donations over $2 are to be tax deductible and secondly, that government power grants to the value of $12,500 will be available for sheds from early September. These grants can be used for solar power, solar hot water and batteries. We meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.30am.
