The monthly QPRC-sponsored Braidwood Connect gatherings are building up a strong network of social and business connections.
At the same time, the Braidwood and Villages Business Chamber (BVBC) working committee is making great progress in establishing the new chamber.
Invitations to take up membership will shortly be distributed via the post, thanks to the support of QPRC, and BVBC will be hosting a members' information forum in the coming weeks.
The business sector has also recently been fortunate to enjoy working with the very effective Braidwood Community Association (BCA).
BCA representatives have attended and made healthy contributions to the Business Connect gatherings, and the Business Chamber working committee joined with BCA to make submissions to the recent DRAFT Integrated Transport Strategy released by QPRC.
The continued interaction between the two groups will contribute to healthy growth and prosperity for all in Braidwood in coming years
As the Business Chamber takes shape, it will provide the opportunity for businesses to raise issues and ideas that the business community should focus on to ensure that prosperity across the community.
It has been seen in other small regional centres that a business chamber that brings together energy and input from as many members of the business community as possible has proven to be a cornerstone of those regions.
And remember, SHOP LOCAL to ensure the long term survival of the businesses in town, who are working together to provide the local community and visitors with the quality products and services required to enjoy living in and visiting Braidwood.
