The Dolphins were looking to unsettle the younger Redbacks squad which proved to a very physical encounter.
The Shoemark brothers Harry and Will scored five tries between them in a dominant backline performance and a 53-0 thumping of the Dolphins..
The much heavier and older Dolphins team muscled up early in the first half and made it difficult for the Redbacks to settle into their game plan.
A series of unforced errors saw the Redbacks lose early advantage, spilling the ball at critical moments.
After 20 minutes the Redbacks crept out to a 12-point lead and started to dominate in the forwards through the scrum, the line outs and strong runs up the middle.
As the game rolled on, the Redbacks plays became increasingly well executed, extending the lead to 22 points at half time.
Cade Graff and Sam Northcott lead the impressive Redbacks pack around the park, with Tom Holland making a late first half substitution from the bench.
The Redbacks really got into their stride in the second half against an increasingly frustrated Broulee team with good numbers at training paying off with the successful execution of practiced set moves and a dominant forwards performance.
The score slipped out to a 53-0 with the Redbacks running in nine unanswered tries.
Outside Centre Harry Shoemark was very dominant in attack and ran in a hat trick of tries with his brother Will chipping in for two.
Other try scorers were from the forward pack through Cade Graf, Luke Cumming, Ben Elliot and Tom Holland.
Points this week went to Harry Shoemark 3, Will Shoemark 2, Sam Northcott 1 and players player to Harry Shoemark.
A special mention goes to Dan Hart who made his first starting appearance for the Redbacks and continues to show great promise as a rugby player.
Next Saturday at 2.30pm at the Braidwood Rec Ground the Redbacks take on a strong Yass team. A win against Yass will see the Redbacks jump them on the ladder to fourth position. Get down the Rec Ground on Saturday and support your Redbacks!
