The Next of Kin program is designed for people who live alone and could even be isolated from family or community by choice or circumstance. The program uses a data-base platform to hold the name of the registered person, their nominated next of kin and contact details for their Doctor or other relevant contacts. In an emergency this information assists Police to contact the registered person, their next of kin and doctor if needed.
Contact the Monaro Crime Prevention Officer for details on how to register with the Next of Kin Program 62980555.

Car chase
A driver who failed to pay for fuel at a Batemans Bay service station led NSW police on a pursuit for nearly 50 kilometres from Braidwood to Bungendore before finally abandoning his car in the ACT.
