In 2019, he became the ACT Junior Singles, Pairs, and Triples champion, is a member of the South Coast CHS Lawn Bowls team which won the NSW Championships, and came fourth at the Under 18 National Championships by the narrowest of margins.
Not bad for a year's work.
Brock's achievements are made more impressive by the fact that he is only 15, several years younger than many of his competitors at the Under 18 level.
His mother, Rebecca, said one of Brock's strengths was his mindset.
"He is quite confident, nothing phases him too much," Rebecca said.
"He just takes it all in his stride really. [He's] cool, calm and collected."
After a strong start to the year, Brock competed in the ACT Junior Championships during the mid-year school holidays.
He dominated that competition, and traveled to Sydney for the NSW Championship in late August.
Victory in the championship, Rebecca said, "put [Brock] in good stead" for the Under 18 National Championships, which were held from October 2 to October 4 in Bendigo, Victoria.
The youngster's strong form continued at nationals, but he struggled against the best competitors he has faced in his short career to finish fourth in singles and suffer a narrow loss in the pairs final.
For someone who has only played the sport for four years, Brock's results in 2019 are exceptional.
A large part of Brock's drive to succeed, his mother said, is linked to his older brother.
"I think [his drive comes] more from the fact that his older brother was selected to represent and it followed from there," Rebecca said.
"[It's] a bit of sibling rivalry."
Brock and his brother are not the only ones from their family to compete; all of the Edwards play bowls after Brock's father took it up.
"His father got roped in to play what he thought was a social game, but ended up being a pennants competition," Rebecca said.
"The three boys followed in and played as well so it's a family affair. And his younger sister just started playing."
