The parishioners raised the money to help alleviate some of the hardship people in the Braidwood community have endured
Brother Brian Berg presented the cheque to president of the local Vinnes conference Cathy Ffrench earlier this week.
The Vinnies Bushfire Appeal was established in response to the unprecedented bushfire season.
A total of $13.7 million has been raised by Australian and overseas donors. National president Claire Victory said the society had dispatched $3.8 million so far from the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal, mostly as direct cash payments for bushfire-impacted households throughout the country.
"In addition, since the fires began in September 2019, large volumes of food, water, clothing, toiletries, bedding, and other essentials have been provided by Vinnies volunteers in their local communities," she said.
