Braidwood unit commander Matthew Talbott said the region had been incredibly lucky after recent rain.
He said that while there was always going to be people who drove through flood water, the Braidwood SES had performed no rescues in recent days.
"There have been a few leaking roofs and trees down but that is all," Mr Talbott said.
The commander urged residents to clear out their gutters while it wasn't raining.
He thanked the community and the 'Braidwood Mozzies' who had helped with fallen trees and other issues.
Mr Talbott said coastal communities in particular were under threat after the rains and the SES had received an influx of calls.
He said that if you called it might take a while to get through but to "please keep trying".
Call SES on 13 25 00 for assistance. In the case of emergency call 000.
