So far, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Southern NSW Local Health District. The Braidwood community seems reasonably calm; there's an air of preparedness but not panic - which is great!

Capital Chemist Braidwood advises the public to stay calm, leave your prescriptions with us so we can ensure supply, and practice social distancing to protect yourself and others.
We have marked on the floor safe distances to practice social distancing in an effort to prevent transmission of viruses - useful for coronavirus and influenza. We ask customers to remain behind the grey line until they are called to reduce the risk to our staff members.
We are disinfecting our benches, dispensary baskets and chairs frequently, and encouraging cashless transactions.
We strongly encourage patients to leave their repeat prescription on file with us. In the event of lockdown/social isolation, this will ensure we can continue to supply their medicine. We will focus on deliveries to minimize exposure and spread. If we don't have the prescription on file, it will be extremely difficult to ensure continuity of supply.
At this stage, we are delivering on Monday and Thursday afternoons to the township of Braidwood and a small way out of town. We will advertise our delivery areas, and patients are always welcome to ring us to determine the best way to get their medicines.
We would like to reinforce that there are no medicine supply issues. The only issue is an increase in demand due to panic buying.
We'd like to reassure the community of Braidwood that we will be here, and we will do our very best to ensure we have their medicines in stock.
There are some limits on products as enforced by the government, and it is NOT recommended to get multiple supplies of prescriptions. This puts unnecessary demand on the supply chain.
We have a good supply of asthma inhalers and children's paracetamol products, but these are limited to one per person, and may require additional labelling (potentially increasing wait times, but we're doing the best we can!).
At this stage, we have no hand sanitiser, masks, or gloves. We will update the community using signage in the shop and on social media when this changes.
