Coomandook footballer Abbie Ballard has been named in the squad for the AFLW All-Stars match this Friday, September 11.

Ballard has had a breakout year in the SANFL Women's competition, playing for West Adelaide and polling equal fourth in the league best and fairest count.

While she has been named in the 48-player squad, the teams to run out onto Thebarton Oval this Friday are yet to be finalised.

The match itself looks to be one of the biggest chances SANFLW players will have to show off their skills ahead of next month's AFLW Draft, as COVID-19 has restricted other usual opportunities.

Before this match there will be an under 16s AFLW Next Generation Academy match, which will feature some of South Australia's junior talent.
