Three hundred people passed through the clinic from 8am to 3pm, Laverty Pathology acting area coordinator for collections (ACT and regional NSW) Robyn Cordell said.
"We had people lined up before 8am when we opened. A lot of them were construction workers at the hospital because they all received a text message at 3am advising them to get tested and isolate," she said.

Others were people who worked in Canberra but lived in Goulburn. Employers had told them to undergo testing and isolate until they received a negative test before returning to work.
Ms Cordell said there were also school children who had been coughing and sneezing and members of the public who had attended Hungry Jacks, Marulan. The service centre was listed as an exposure site on Tuesday. Anyone who attended the venue on July 10 between 5 pm and 5:30pm is considered a casual contact and must get tested immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.
"Others (at Seiffert Oval) were just concerned and were more than happy to get tested and isolate," Ms Cordell said.
Laverty Pathology had six staff at the Seiffert Oval clinic on Tuesday. Previously, it had been averaging about 50 tests per day. The provider has delivered testing since June 3 when a positive case was reported at Trappers Bakery at South Goulburn.
The site complements the Goulburn Base Hospital testing clinic. The Post has requested numbers through that clinic from the Southern NSW Local Health District. The LHD did not responded to numerous requests for comment on Tuesday, including details protocols in place surrounding construction workers on the hospital redevelopment.
The site was shut down early Tuesday as a result of the positive COVID test.
COVID testing is available at the hospital clinic on Goldsmith Street from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Laverty Pathology's drive-through clinic at Seiffert Oval, Goulburn is open 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1.30pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Capital Pathology at 127 Bourke Street, Goulburn is also doing COVID testing from 8am to 4.30pm.
Appointments are not required for any of the clinics.
